Weather, Force & Motion and Deductive Thinking
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you could change the weather? Second graders have been learning about weather in science. This week, we read What Will the Weather Be Like Today? Then, students created their very own weather-changing inventions using their imaginations.
First graders have been learning about forces such as push and pull. We read How Do You Lift a Lion? to learn about simple machines. Students had the opportunity to experiment with levers, wheels and pulleys (pulley not pictured - we raised a lowered items on the flag pole). They determined that simple machines help make work, like lifting and moving things, easier.
In Kindergarten, we became detectives and used clues to solve mysteries. Students listened to clues about an animal and used deductive thinking to figure out which animal it could be. They did some awesome detective work!
