1st Grade Sky Posters

Students designed posters about the day sky, night sky or both. We started by recording our knowledge about the sky and what we knew about daytime and nighttime in a Venn diagram.

Then, we analyzed posters for good qualities. Below is a list a qualities students identified as good or not so good.
Finally, students started making the pieces of their poster: important information, headings, title and pictures. Each piece was separate so students could manipulate the pieces to create the most appealing design.
