Go Bulldogs!

This past Saturday, the Lakewood basketball team played Merrick-Moore at Brogden Middle School.

It was great to see these young men outside of school in a different role. It was also wonderful to see how many of the teachers of Lakewood came out to support our team. The cheerleaders also did an amazing job, thanks to Ms. Resto and Ms. Rollings!

They played with all their hearts and had the lead for the entire game but with 30 seconds left to go, the other team tied. With less than ten seconds, Merrick Moore took the lead. Our amazing Coach West called a time out with 3 seconds on the clock to energize his team and plan their next move.

Unfortunately, our team was unable to tie the game for overtime. But, all of the teachers there were so proud of their hard work and dedication. I can't wait to see the next game!
